What?
It's really hard to do an anagram when you have the words in front of you because your eyes
are drawn to the existing words. It's mugh easier to re-arrange the words so that there's no
structure.
Why?
Ok, so me and a mate spent about a hour staring at an anagram in a pub quiz once. We were both
completely stumped as to what the answer was. It had more than one word in it and every time we
got one of the words we'd draw a little wheel of the remaining letters.
Whilst drawing my hundredth wheel and still not coming up with anything I decided it would be a
cool thing to have a program that did this for me.
I've put in the anagram that we were stuck on into the applet below. The clue we got was:
Famous TV Personality (specially in the 80's)
You've probably got it by now but for some reason we were absolutely stuck.
The Applet
The Code
Is here. It dosen't do anything that special, and it would be a
fair bit simpler if it wasn't for having to work to Java 1.1 in order to make it work in IE.
